Project Overview
We met Chico Dental Care back in 2017. Located in Northern California, Chico Dental Care has made it their mission specialize in your smile. They feel it’s one the most important things a person can do for their appearance, as well as their health. Being focused on their patients, Chico Dental Care selected SiteHatchery.com to expand their website by including visitor and patient specific features.
Using WordPress as the Content Management System (CMS), our development team migrated Chico Dental Care’s website into their new home. With WordPress, Chico Dental Care has the option of flexibility with their design, along with full control of the site. As most website designers will admit, WordPress includes all the necessary features to manage content and is user friendly.
With Chico Dental Care’s website, they wanted to ensure transparency. Our design team created a services menu within the site which allows visitors and patients gain knowledge about the services offered. Patients and visitors can learn about dental procedures from their PC or mobile device, 24 hours a day. They can access the library to get the answers they need instead of having to wait and speak to someone.
For those who want to become a patient of Chico Dental Care, the website includes “new patient” forms. Guests can fill out forms from their device and submit them through the Chico Dental Care website. There is no printing to deal with, no faxing, no emailing and no special hand delivery. By offering new patient forms and having them setup to send to Chico Dental Care through the website, guests are satisfied with convenience.
With Chico Dental Care, the website was designed to be responsive. Allowing visitors to share the same experience regardless of the device they are using. Whether someone is in front of a PC, or on their mobile phone. The website adapts to the view port size and the website optimizes the experience to accommodate the visitor.

Thinking Outside the Box
Creating a new website for our friends at Chico Dental Care was fun. We were able to list all the services they offer, and bring them to life for the world to see. The information listed about the services had to be informative. We achieved that by designing a custom archive filled with rich content. For the layout, we knew the website had to be responsive. Using PHP and custom styling sheets, we were able to do that too.
We were able to keep the traditional feel of a dental website, but offer an informational gateway. With the inclusion of new patient forms and records requests, guests can sign up easily for a dental appointment or request history records from Chico Dental Care – anytime.
Site Speed
With every website build we minimize the amount coding to leave web pages lean as possible. The same with the content that goes on the page. We aim to make simplify the content so it’s light and powerful. By targeting common areas of concern, we are able to tackle issues of clutter to produce fast loading websites.
Layout
Websites have multiple faces depending on the size of the view port. For a PC, a page can be filled with visual features. Where as a mobile phone needs to be compact and may include/exclude certain features that may cause a drawback to the viewing experience.
